Surrendering a Dog
If you're looking to surrender a Dog or Cat, please call us at (352)796-2711.

DOGS

All dogs waiting to be surrendered to us MUST have the following:

+a Temperment Evaluation from Mary Peters at Stillwater Dog Training. (to be completed after you call us)

+A Negative Heartworm test that is no older than 60 days.

If your dog passes the evaluation, you will be placed on our waiting list. How quickly our waiting list goes depends on how many dogs we get adopted. We cannot guarantee that your dog will be taken in a week or even a month. If you find another home for the dog, please let us know so we can take you off the list.

+be friendly and not a danger to anyone. We have lots of families with little children who come in to see the cats.

+MUST have a NEGATIVE FIV/Leukemia test. We CANNOT take FIV/Leukemia positive cats. We do NOT have the space to house them, nor the experience necessary to care for them.
